When I started working in WordPress, I discovered there were a LOT Of people who let the maintenance of their websites slide. Most people don’t realize how important it is to keep your website up to date. There are SO many moving parts, and it’s very easy for themes, plugins, and files to become incompatible—or worse—vulnerable to hackers. In 2020, 44% of hacking was shown to be caused by outdated WordPress websites!

This is why I created a website optimization VIP service using my 3-step optimization framework!

What exactly is a “VIP Service”

In the most basic terms, a VIP service involves spending a pre-determined amount of time (day, week, etc.) working with a single client. There are tons of VIP offerings out there, from web design to strategy to social media.

My VIP offering is for WordPress website optimization—specifically in the areas of security, speed, and user experience. The service takes place over the course of one week.

Why offer a VIP Service for website optimization? Well, there are a few reasons…

  1. A website is useless if it isn’t working properly. You can have the most beautiful website in the world, but if things get wonky, your clients will bounce. 👋
  2. There has been an increase in cyber attacks over the last couple of years, and it looks like this trend will continue. It’s more important than ever to make sure your website is as secure as possible.
  3. There simply aren’t that many offers like this out there. Everyone focuses on web design, but clients don’t give much thought to the required maintenance after the fact. The result? A website that is vulnerable, slow, and clunky.

What are the next steps?

Schedule your discovery call.

Once you choose a day/time, you’ll be given a brief intake form to fill out. During our call, we’ll talk about the state of your website and what your goals are for your VIP Week.

Get Booked!

Once you’ve decided to move forward, I’ll send you a proposal, contract, and invoice for your 50% deposit. Once paid, you’ll be sent a link to my scheduler to book your week!

Time to prepare for your week.

Once your week is booked, you’ll have access to your very own client portal. Here you’ll find copies of your contract, invoices, website care guide, and a client workbook you’ll need to fill out prior to your week.

Receive and review your plan.

After your client workbook is completed with all the relevant login information, I will log into your website and create a customized plan of action for your website optimization.

Your week is here!

You’ll be able to sit back and relax while I get to work. I do ask that you remain somewhat available via email or text (Messenger or Slack), should any questions or problems arise.

Wrap up.

Once your week is complete, I’ll send you a client report detailing the work that was done, and your final invoice for payment. You’ll also have 30 days of email/text support should any questions arise!

Frequently Asked Questions

Full disclosure: I have young kiddos! While I’d love to offer this service in a “day” format, it’s more important that I’m able to deliver what’s promised. Spreading the work out over the week allows me to do just that.

I will be emailing/messaging you throughout the week with status updates and any questions that come up. You will need to be available to respond to these messages within the same day in order to keep things moving forward.

To be honest, it really depends! The scope and complexity of projects vary from one website to the next.

Prior to your scheduled week, I will take a look at what’s going on with your website and come up with a plan. I prioritize things in order of importance: security first, then speed, then user experience and/or the “like to have” items. I’ll usually be able to provide you with an estimate of what we can complete, but it’s important you know that you’re paying for my time, not specific deliverables.

A non-refundable 50% deposit is due to book your VIP Service. The remaining 50% will be due once our week together is complete.

Your deposit is non-refundable, but may be transferred to another date or service with 7-days prior written notice. A deposit is valid for 90 days, and must be used within that timeframe.

Please note, though, that these do not include in-depth speed or UX optimizations. They are more focused on keeping your website updated and secure.
